At Basement Systems Saskatchewan, it's our job to make sure that your musty crawlspace is transformed into a cleaner, drier, healthier, and more energy-efficient space.
Most homeowners aren't happy with their crawl space environment. And there's a good reason for that -- most crawl spaces don't offer much to be smiling about!
Typical crawl spaces are moldy, foul-smelling spaces that homeowners avoid at all costs. Many of them flood, and they're often filled with debris left over from when the house was constructed.
In more extreme cases, they can be rotting structures with rodents, animals, and other pests living within.

This home was a 1980's bungalow with a full basement that had a crawlspace below. The homeowners complained of horrible odors and mold issues to the point where the rotted subfloor and some floor joists had to be removed and replaced. Upon inspection, the builder had put weeping tile around the exterior footing as required but then tee'd the line into the crawlspace attaching only a filtered sock weeping tile to the interior. Whenever any water was picked up from the exterior weeping tile, it was drained and dumped into the soil in the crawlspace! There was no solid pipe to the sump or sewer! It made a spectacular SWAMP in the homeowners crawlspace! See BEFORE picture.
Basement Systems Saskatchewan repaired the home by attaching a solid drain pipe from the weeping tile tee staight to the sump pump. Many yards of crushed rock were hauled in to firm up the soil and create the ability for water to travel to the sump pump without removing soil. CleanSpace Crawlspace wrap encapsulated the soil totally and our industrial sized dehumidifier took care of the humidity so no more rotting floors. The difference in the home's air quality was instantly noticeable. See AFTER picture.
In this 2020 repair, an impressive lake cabin had a mucky muck muck crawlspace hiding below it. The above bedrooms air quality was horrendous and the homeowners just wanted it fixed right. Once all the garbage was removed and the grading and leveling done; Anita from Basement Systems Saskatchewan installed a Triple Safe Sump system, the CleanSpace Crawlspace encapsulation, closed all the vents to the outside and put in the SaniDry Sedona Dehumidifier to clean, dry and move the air. WOW! What a difference to this homes air quality!
"It's gross down there... there's bugs, spiders, mice everywhere. OMG Please fix it!"
